32 Sounds Watch Online | Download | Trailer | Movie Review

Sam Green's immersive documentary investigates the fundamental phenomena of sound and is a stunning sensory experience. The movie is a reflection on the ability of sound to change the course of time, transcend boundaries, and significantly affect how we see the world.


There are two distinct and equally thrilling versions of it: one for a live audience, complete with individual headphones for each audience member, live original music performed live by JD Samson, and live narration by Sam Green; and the other created specifically for a totally immersive at-home or theatrical experience.

A recognised selection of the 2022 SXSW Film Festival, 32 Sounds had its world debut in January 2022 at the Sundance Film Festival. Watch this space for updates on 32 SOUNDS' theatrical/streaming release and forthcoming live performances.

The work was commissioned by Stanford Live, Stanford University, The Arts Centre at NYU Abu Dhabi, Georgia Tech Arts, Green Music Centre at Sonoma State University, Arizona Arts Live! at University of Arizona, and was created during a creative residence at MASS MoCA, North Adams, Massachusetts.

The National Endowment for the Arts is helping to fund this endeavour in part.
