How to Calculate Molecular Mass of Nitrite (NO2−):

For calculating molecular mass of Nitrite we need atomic mass of nitrogen and oxygen. We know that atomic masses of nitrogen (N) and oxygen (O) are 14.0067 and 15.9994 respectively. So molecular mass of Nitrite = [atomic mass of  nitrogen (N) + {atomic mass of oxygen (O) × 2}]

= {14.0067 + (15.9994 × 2)}

= 46.0055 gram
